Green energy transition: massive national security multiplier

The green energy transition can be a massive national security multiplier. Do we want to speed it up? Then we must make it equitable from the outset through measures targeting energy access and affordability, new job creation, and community and indigenous co-ownership of renewable energy projects.

Unless we bake equity in from the outset, we cannot build the social and political consensus we need to hasten the green energy shift and maximise its massive national security-enhancing rewards. This is smart Green Energy Statecraft.
